LOCATION: Doug Mullins located female 19 August 2011 in Madera Canyon, .25 miles South of the Pima County line in Santa Cruz County, Arizona.

ELEVATION: unk
The female oviposited 20 August 2011 on Phaeseolus ritensis, Ova hatched 26 August 2011. Larva fed for 30 days.  It walked off its plant 25 September 2011 and made a nest in some paper toweling used as an understory in the container.  The pupa formed 27 September 2011. The adult emerged 27 October 2011.

LIFE HISTORY:
Ovum: about 6 days
Larva: about 30 days - It was about 35 mm maximum length
Pupa:  This one was a pupa for 29 days 15 hours before completing developing and emerging as an adult butterfly

Hibernation:  Overwinters as a pupa
Host Plants: Oviposited on Phaeseolus ritensis
Reared on Phaeseolus vulgaris - garden string beans
