Todd Stout collected Female 14 Jul 2014 just below boulders at top of Murdock Mountain, Utah. Since he was busy he gave me the female to have her oviposit and to rear the larvae.

Females oviposited on native  Potentilla diversifolia. Larvae reared on  Fragaria vesca and Potentilla glandulosa.  The glandulosa plants became spotted with some disease so I moved the larvae that were using it over to Fragaria vesca.  They had no problem switching to the different plant.

Female oviposited 115 eggs  from 16  July to 3 August 2014.  Twenty were given away.  Of the remaining ninety five, sixty-six hatched for a hatch rate of sixty-nine per cent.
Ova took about 8-10 days  to emerge.

Second Instar - 7 days
Third Instar - 9 - 11 days
