Jack Harry located Females 31 May 2014 in Cache County, UT, Utah Hwy 101, 3.5 miles East of Hyrum, elevation 4900 feet.  Some of the first instars were given to me to rear.  Lomatium graveolens used as host plant.

First Instar - 3 - 4 days
Second Instar -  7 days
Third Instar -  5 days
Fourth Instar -  4 days
Fifth Instar -  8 - 9 days to day they expelled excess liquid
Prepupa - 1-2 days
Pupa - overwinter as pupae
28 - 31 total days from day emerged from ova
I noticed these caterpillars used yellow/orange osmeterium  first through fourth instar when startled.  I didn't see them use  this smelly defense during the last instar.
temperatures were  77-81 °F., humidity 28-40 %
These caterpillars should be reared at low humidity as they are known to  die in wet conditions per Jack Harry.
