 This darner was sitting in the grass and I didn't notice the injury until I put the photos on the computer.


Characteristics
  • 2 1/3 to 3 inches long with a 3 1/2 to 3 3/4 inch wingspan
  • Abdomen is blue to greenish, black and brown
  • two lateral stripes and one dorsal stripe thorax
