Characteristics
1/8 inch white flowers on a tall stalk. Some forms of this plant resemble wild onion but the strap-like leaves of the Death Camas more erect and angled in a v shape mid rib  while the onion leaves are flattened or hollow.  The wild onion also has the distinct onion odor.  If it doesn't smell like onion, don't eat it since all parts, including the bulb, of the Death Camas are poisonous  effecting people, cattle and especially sheep.
