extend along sides, Back is splotchy with dark-centered feathers, Dark

Behavior
Summer
on dry tundra, winter on inland and coastal lakes, marshes,
mudflats
and grasslands. Forages on dry mudflats for insects. Lays 2-4 marked
pinkish
eggs in shallow depression on tundra
