above Wasatch Blvd, Salt Lake County, Utah
These were "hitchhikers" on the host plant cut to feed the larvae located on 16 September 2006.  These were great finds as it enabled photos of some of the younger instars.

The larva of Spalding's Dotted-blue has a single dorsal stripe
