LOCATION:  Located  what I think was a worn Coronis  female in Middle Canyon, Tooele County, Utah 23 September, 2013.
ELEVATION:  About 6500  feet

LIFE HISTORY:
Ovum: Nine ova were oviposited on 26 September 2013  and eight more over the two or three days. They were misted every day.
Larva: They began hatching on 7 Ocotober and were misted daily. Hatch rate was not optimal. On 10 October 2013 they were placed in the fridge  to overwinter.    I attempted to keep the temperature at 34 degrees and a humidity of 70 to  85 %
The first instars that overwintered were removed from hibernation at the end of May 2014 and set on Viola nephrophylla.  This one began feeding on Viola nyphrophylla on June 2nd.  None of the  larvae did well  on this plant.  I eventually switched them to Goosefoot Violet  (Viola  purpurea)  which
was seen in the same area  the adults were located in 2013Most were too weakened to survive but this one made it through to pupa.

Hibernation:  Overwinter as first instar
