Pupa Development
Pupa  #1
Larva purged liquid July 29, 2006 , then formed Pupa. Pupa was placed in winter conditions the end of November, then spring conditions on March 5, 2007

This one pupated on the plant which may be why it is green
Eclosure took place on the morning of May 3, 2006

Characteristics
2 5/8 to 3 1/2 inch wingspan - Flight  May to July -  Pale cream colored with black tiger-stripes. 


Host Plant
Wild Lilac - Ceanothus velutinus

Other host plants are leaves of  plums and other buckthorns
