A native perennial 5 petaled yellow flower that blooms from July to October.  Plant has sprawling to erect growth habit. Stems up to 15 inches long. Gray-green, rounded  leaves with numerous hairs are from 1 to 2 inches wide and are on short stalks.  Seed pods have 6 to 10 segments
