Flowers: yellow daisy-like, with one flower per stem  Bloom time:  First bloom follows winter-spring rains, second bloom follows summer rains   Leaves: alternate pinnate leaves. Stems: erect, unbranched. The species, pleniradiata (Woolly Desert Marigold) is smaller, has more than one flower per stem and is more branched
